Welcome to the Sneem Fire Station for the Kerry Fire and Rescue Service located in Inchinaleega West in the village of Sneem. Sneem means ‘a knot’ in Irish and Sneem is sometimes referred to as the ‘Knot of Kerry’ and is situated in the famous "Ring of Kerry" a route that encapsulates some of the best nature has to offer. The village is split into two by the Sneem River, with the respective sides being known as North Square and South Square. Each part of the village has its own feeling and special beauty. The Sneem Fire Station is a one pump station and retains a fire fighting crew of 9. The Station Officer is Timothy ‘Teddy’ McCarthy and the acting Sub Station Officer is Peter O’Sullivan.
